SH-WALKS: Luwan – heart of the FFC

This part of the former French Concession once had a flair of Paris in the East. Plane trees, mansions and noble apartment buildings made this area famous for its wealth.

The area around Fuxing Park is extremely beautiful with theatres, cinemas, cafés and bistros. Most famous was the “Canidrome” – a dog race course where greyhounds kept running and people betting on them. A stroll in this part of the city reveals the beauty and leisure atmosphere of colonial times.
